is a service that gives you points for using Bing. You can then redeem for various prizes and contests. However, in the reward community there is much interest in how Bing determines points. You can earn a set amount of points per day maximum. However that amount is different for everyone with no logical pattern as to how they determine it.
Today however, I personally noticed everything got reset for me. My invite total got reset, my maximum points per day is the same but it's easier to get points now. I did keep my existing points, but they restructured how I get them. Now while it seems random from person to person, it's not common to hear about someones numbers actually changing. So my speculation is that they are revamping the system. So far in my use case it's been improved for the better.
Now seems like a great to sign up. Head on over to the sign up page
(if you already have a microsoft account for any other reason you just use that, no need to create a new account), and make sure to come back and comment how many searches you have to do to earn a point, and what your daily cap is, so maybe a pattern can be found.
tip: Do a search for a popular term and just keep hitting related links until you hit your daily cap.
, the popular smartphone app for making money while you shop has just launched a major update and is now Ibotta 2.0.
To give a quick summary, ibotta is an app that rewards you for shopping. It has certain items and it pays you to buy them. You unlock the offer by doing some very quick brand activity (less than 10 seconds usually), buy the item, upload a picture of the receipt and get paid. Ibotta works in conjunction with coupons, so if you used right, you could profit by buying some items.
So, what's new in 2.0?
First, cashing out. Previously you could only cash out to paypal. Now you can cashout to gift cards as well. New generic offers like spend x amount earn x back at some stores. No longer limited to certain items. A whole new interface that is streamlined and more organized is also present. In addition to earning on buying items at grocery stores, restaurants are now being added too.
This is the first major ibotta update, and just a taste of what is to come. Ibotta has been steadily growing and is now frequently featured in both the iOS app store and the Google Play Store. This an app that is a must have for anyone with a smartphone that does any shopping. Click here to check it out!
At DrinkingDollars we are all about easy and legit ways to make money online. So I have been avoiding BitCoin for a while now. However as it becomes more popular and more valuable I figured I would cover some ways to make bitcoin. First some basics.
BitCoin is a virtual online currency. You can buy and sell from exchanges just like you were buying and selling a foreign currency. The most popular is Mt. Gox, but there are others. Since it is all virtual you store your balance in a virtual wallet. This wallet is software on your PC. There are several different pieces of wallet software, and a quick google will help you find the best for you.
But for now to get started earning you don't have worry about exchanges.Just the wallet. So here are the quick steps for one of the easier sites to earn some bit coin.
1. Download the wallet software of you choice. The wallet software will assign you your address. This is a long string of letters and numbers. This is your payment address.
2. Head on over to CoinAd.
3. Create an account and give them your payment address.
4. View the adds for bitcoin. It's just like neobux or clixsense. You just view ads for x amount in bitcoin.
5. Cash out when you want.
You won't earn a ton. So for now just keep earning. At this point bitcoin is also part investment. You may only make a nickle a day clicking ads now, but leave that nickle in your wallet and it could be worth a quarter in a year. For example I started with bitcoin about a year ago. I earned at the time from various places about a quarters worth of bitcoin. I then gave up because of how slow I was earning, then I came back recently to find my wallet worth a few bucks. So you earn both initial but have potential for huge growth as time goes on. There was recently a story about a guy who had $27 worth of bit coin 5 years ago, forgot about it and it is now worth $800,000. Bit coin has not gone mainstream yet, and there is no guarantee it will. However, if it does, your few cents now could be worth hundreds after it explodes in value.
So as you can see (and the reason I was hesitant to discuss it until now) it is much more of a chance at being worth it. You may end up putting a lot of time in to get a few dollars, bit coin crashes, and it's worth nothing. Or you may put a little time in for a few cents, and in a few yours it explodes in value. So it is less about earning now, and more about long term potential. Since the only investment if you only earn through rewards sites that pay bitcoin is time, if you have spare time it may be worth taking the chance now.
I am by no means a bit coin expert, and this is just a getting started guide to get your feet wet in the world of bit coin. If you want more info or more resources check out
Did you know Microsoft will literally pay you to use Bing
? I know, it sounds crazy, but it's true. Sign up
for Bing rewards and earn rewards for searching with Bing. The rewards have a pretty decent variety too. You can enter drawings to win Microsoft products such as a surface, or xbox. The drawing changes every month. In addition the other available rewards include Hulu Plus 1 month subscription, Amazon gift cards, and for maximum versatility tango cards. You can use tango cards to get pretty much any gift card you want.
It really is as simple as signing up
and searching with Bing. So give it a try.
is sort of newer, but still has been around long enough to prove reliable. As usual I wanted to wait until it has been proven reliable before posting about it, as to not lead anyone into a scam site.
So what is locket? Locket
is an Android app that replaces your lock screen with an ad. so you hit your power button, and still have the slide to unlock at the bottom, but the screen shows an ad. Every time you unlock your phone you earn. Now it's semi passive in the sense that you just unlock your phone as normal and earn. However, it does take a while to earn the $10 minimum to cash out. You can speed up the process by doing other offers typical to most rewards sites to earn more. In addition for the rest of October, they are randomly giving one user a day $300. So now is a great time to join, and maybe get lucky.

is a new service. It is also a rather interesting service. What it does is displays ads in your search results that you get paid to click. However, it does NOT place them directly in your results, and they don't come up all the time. What it does is has a banner come in on the left of your screen. So you install the browser plug in, and when you search for something relevant to one of the ads in it's database, it comes up on the left of the screen and shows you. It shows how much you will get paid to click it. You click the ad, it takes you to the site and you earn your payment. It is much less intrusive than you would think. It only comes about 5 times a day for me and I am online basically all day. So basically you just use the internet as you usually would and occasionally in a search result an ad will come in and you can get paid.
Speaking of getting paid let's discuss that. First they pay more than most PTC ad sites. Why is this? Because, the ads only come up while you are searching. So as a result advertisers pay more because they know the ad is extremely targeted. It's much more effective to show you an ad for a toaster when you are searching for toasters on amazon than it is to just take out a generic banner ad that everyone sees. As a result each ad pays between $0.05 and $0.10 in my experience so far. They come up about 4 to 5 times a day, making me a good average of about $0.33/day using the internet as I normally would. It doesn't sound like much, but being pretty close to being completely passive, it is enough to pay for a Netflix subscription completely every month.
They payout to PayPal. Click Here to check it out.
I've been meaning to post about Mturk
for a while now. I really regret not getting this post up sooner, but I wanted it to be a good one.
"Why is that?" you ask? Because, frankly, it will earn you the most. It may not be the most fun, and may require more time than other sites, but it is the best earner.
So what is Mturk? Mturk is short for Amazon Mechanical Turk. It is a website where people or companies (Requesters) post work (HITs) for others (Workers) to do. Most of the HITs posted are called batches. Where a ton of the same work gets posted, and it is usually repetitive tasks that require human intelligence. That is it is stuff that can't quite be done by computers yet. An example of a fairly popular and common one is by a requester called Venue Quality. They post a lot where they give you 2 sets of information and you say if it is the same place or not. See one might have a typo in the name and an address one number off, and a computer would say no, but as a human you can look at it and say yes they really are the same place. The other most common kind of work is surveys. Companies post surveys for information on products, and individuals may do it to get feedback on something, but most common are educational surveys by grad students, or research teams.
So you can't just hop on and do a few tasks and be done for the day and expect to make much. But if you hang out in mturk forum
linked on our other resources
page you can hop on and work when you have an hour or so of free time and make significantly more than most reward sites.
The biggest advantage is you get paid cash. Unlike a typical reward site it isn't in gift cards (although since it is run by amazon you can choose to get an amazon gift card instead if you wanted) or have to deal with points. It's straight up cash that you link with a bank account and can transfer to. If the idea of linking your bank account scares you, don't worry. This isn't some pop up shady reward site. Mturk has been around for ever and all payments are actually processed by Amazon using Amazon payments.
There is no referral program, or bonuses, or anything like that. Just straight up do x job for x amount of money. Direct and to the point, and with the help of some other forums can be very profitable.

has been talking about a major upgrade for a while now. Well, this week it went live. After a rough start on day 1, they took the site down for a day, fixed it up, and when it relaunched the second time, it was speedy and fully functional. Rather than compare it to the old version because of how much have changed, let's just start from scratch. Earning
There are many ways to earn, so we will just touch on each one to give you an idea, but you should probably just check out the site if your interested.
First up are the offers wall and EZ coins. These are the typical offers you see on many rewards sites. Sign up for trials, install facebook apps, register for services, etc...
Next is surveys and tasks. Again, just typical stuff. Complete tasks (crowdflower in this case) or take surveys.
Next is search. This one is a little unique now. Instead of just being random and getting points on a search, you now get a set amount per search, once an hour. So no matter what you search, as long as it has been over an hour since your last search, you will earn again the first time you search. You get much less points now, but can do it several times a day, and personally, I earn more off of searching now than in the past.
GiftHulk TV is another way to earn. Watch videos get points. It appears to be not worth using, but I may be missing something here, so hopefully I'm updating this post in a few days because I finally figured out what makes it worth it.
They also have ways to "win" hulk coins. They have Playground, Fountain of Youth, and Guess the card. These three ways of earning do not count towards your daily goal for the bonus, but can earn you quite a bit. The playground is just some dumb flash games you can get some hulk coins for playing. Fountain of Youth is where you put a code in you found elsewhere on the site for a bonus. These can be found on the blog, in the card game, in emails, etc.. Guess the card is the most intriguing part. You can either guess the suit of a playing card for a small amount of coins. Or guess the rank of the card for a little more, or guess both for a good amount. How many times you can play depends on your level. You can earn levels by being more active on the site.
Redeeming is straightforward now. As part of the update they made all dollar amounts and points equal. $5 is 5000 points no matter what gift card you get. This makes it much easier to redeem and not try to find the best deals. In the past Amazon was way cheaper than paypapl, with others in the middle, but now it's just all the same. Most rewards delivered online will be delivered within 7 days.
There are some complaints about the site, mainly the referral program, and I shared those views at first, but in reality, since the update my actual net earnings are much higher. So all in all an intriguing update, and worth checking out. If you have used Gift Hulk in the past but didn't like it, check it out now, maybe you will. Or if you never tried it, now is the perfect time to check it out. Click Here
